The little story of kweeper

The idea to make Kweeper started in January, 2008 at a dinner at Matt Gallet's House.
That night, Charles ELE was wearing a cool custom designed t-shirt, on which he had printed a sentence from the news website Nouvel Observateur. The tee-shirt was an instant success and Charles started to wonder...

Driving home that same night, listening to, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra in his car, Charles had an idea: 'what if i developed a tool that would let everyone save and share all sentences, texts, or citations within 2 clicks and then they could have this printed on any material (t-shirt, tote bag, mug, etc.)?'. He kept returning to this idea for a few months...

During the last three months of 2008, Charles started working on a bookmarklet that would let a user grab any word, save it on a personal page and print it through a flash interface on any t-shirt or object of his choice

Having some difficulties using Flash, Charles requested advice from a good taste watcher, who recommended a good friend who could help: Marc Jacquier. Charles and Marc finally met and brainstormed over a beef steak sauce marchand de vin in one of Lyon's restaurants.

Marc started developing a Firefox extension and the Flash interface and overnight ideas and 'positives problems' started: the extension allows the user to grab images (gif, jpeg, png...), vidos files (flv), or audio files (mp3)...
They had to work on possible uses of that technology while they synthetized the functionality of what already existed: Bookmarking, Microblogging, lifestream.

In the process a new concept was born: SOCIAL HEAPCASTING: HEAP + BROADCAST.

Marina Glavanovic created some logos and spent months of indecisiveness and lively arguments with Charles ELE before they finally agreed on the current logo and his baseline KWEEPER: kweeps your web emotions alive !.
