25th March 2011 - SYRIA Al-Sunamein Clashes gunfire crowds shots protests casualties carried
Violence struck Syria once again as security forces responded to demonstrations on Friday, 25 March. In Deraa, a large crowd gathered to bury those killed in the wake of the Omari mosque massacre. Twenty people are reported dead as security forces allegedly fired upon an anti-government protest near Deraa. Other protests against the ruling Baath regime were held inside mosques and on the streets of several cities.
